Qualifying Member

Qualifying Member PIANC: Membership whereby a (non-)governmental organisation represents a country within the General Assembly and the Council, having full voting right.

 

Platinum Partner

Platinum Partners constitute a membership category, following decisions at the 2001 AGA in Paris.

 PIANC appreciates their support, which is crucial for maintaining professional standards and keeping up the high quality of our publications. Our Platinum Partners commit themselves for four years.

Advantages for the partner

  • Every four years, at the occasion of PIANC's international Navigation Congress, two representatives of the Platinum Partner are invited to participate free of charge to all parts of the programme.
  • In each Magazine and in the membership Directory, the partner will be mentioned as a Platinum Partner, and his logo will be reproduced in full colour.
  • At the occasion of exhibitions, (co-)organised by PIANC, the logo of the partner will be displayed in a prominent manner.
  • The partner gets a 20 % discount for publicity in the Magazine or any other PIANC publication.

·         Annual fee : minimum € 5,000

 

Corporate Member

  • Authorities or public services of states, departments, provinces, counties, municipalities, other political sub-divisions and executive agencies, scientific and technical associations, harbours and other boards, chambers of commerce, laboratories, universities, public and private sector companies, consultants, user associations, and other organisations concerned with issues relating to navigation which, having applied for membership of the Association and having been admitted as members, pay the prescribed annual subscription fee to the Association.
  • Small organisation (up to 20 employees directly concerned with PIANC): 475.00   
  • Large organisation (more than 20 employees directly concerned with PIANC): € 950.00  

    Please note that the quoted membership rates are for prospective members who have no National PIANC Section. Prospective members who are from countries where a PIANC Section exists should apply to that Section for its membership rates, bearing in mind that National Section rates may vary and will be expressed in the currency of that country.

REMARKS


  • Corporate Members receive, free of charge, a number of passwords and logins to access all available digital publications
    • For small Corporate Members: 2
    • For large Corporate Members: 4

·         Membership follows the calendar year (from January 1 until December 31). If you register in the course of the year, you will automatically receive all publications issued in the year of your enrolment.

  • Subscriptions are due as soon as a member is admitted and thereafter in January of each succeeding year.
  • Membership of the Association shall be automatically terminated by non-payment in TWO successive years of the annual subscription and may also be terminated by resignation: resignation shall be notified in writing to the Secretary-General or to the member's National Section. A member who resigns shall pay all outstanding arrears. If he notifies his resignation after March 31, his subvention or subscription for the current year shall also be paid.
  • The dispatch of the Association's publications shall be suspended for all members in the event of non-payment of subventions or subscriptions for a period of ONE year, until outstanding arrears are paid.

Individual Member

  • Persons with interest in navigation related matters, and who, after applying for and being admitted to membership of the Association, pay the prescribed annual subscription fee: € 95.00
  • Students under the age of 30 with interest in navigation related matters, and who, after applying for and being admitted to membership of the Association, pay the prescribed annual subscription fee: € 35.00

  Candidate Qualifying Member PIANC:  status during which an organisation/governmental body within a country prepares for Qualifying Membership, thereby assisted by CoCom.

National Section PIANC: organisation within the country that is a Qualifying Member, with the purpose to develop interest and support for the Association by attracting members, organising seminars/workshops, issuing a (e-)newsletter, creating a website, etc.
